Pokémon Fan In Malaysia Sells Massive Card Collection For Staggering ₹3.8 Crore

Damiral Imran, a Malaysian Pokémon fan, has sold his complete card collection for a huge amount of money just days after putting it up for sale and getting a lot of attention on social media.

Imran wrote on Facebook that he had found a buyer who would pay the entire asking price of RM1,870,000, which is almost ₹3.8 crore (or almost $442,000 USD). NST later reported this news.

Imran stated on Facebook a few hours after the last transaction, “My Pokémon card collection officially SOLD for RM1,870,000.”

He called the deal a “historic” event and talked about how the collection had grown over time: “From a small room in Shah Alam to making history in the Pokémon World.” “This is more than a sale; it’s a story of passion, hard work, and legacy,” he said. Along with the news were pictures that showed how big his collection was, with cards carefully piled from top to bottom.

A Well-Curated and Valuable Collection
People had already noticed the collection since it was so valuable. It had been built up over time and stored very carefully. The South China Morning Post had said that the collection was worth more over 2 million ringgit on the market, based on information from a global card-valuation tracker called Shiny.

Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), a US-based service, professionally authenticated and graded the condition of the cards in the collection. This made sure that serious collectors could be sure of their quality and rarity.

Imran had already made news when he first put the collection up for sale, with offers as high as RM1.68 million. He preferred to wait for a better price at the time, which showed that he believed the collection was worth it. He had also said he would be willing to make a special trade: a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and some extra cash.
