Bihar: PM Modi To Release 19th Instalment Of PM KISAN In Bhagalpur

New Delhi [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bhagalpur today, where he will release the 19th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi, reaffirming his government’s commitment to the welfare and prosperity of farmers. The Prime Minister will also address a public rally at the Airport Ground ahead of the 2025 Bihar elections.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will accompany PM Modi at the event, which is expected to witness the participation of around 5 lakh farmers.

As part of the program, PM Modi will release the latest installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi and address the gathering. Senior NDA leaders and people from 13 districts, including Bhagalpur, Munger, and Begusarai, will attend the event, according to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain.

BJP Confident of Victory in Bihar Elections

BJP leaders remain optimistic about securing over 200 seats in Bihar, attributing their confidence to the strong NDA alliance and the “double-engine government” led by PM Modi and Nitish Kumar.

“Just like Delhi, we will win the upcoming Bihar elections too,” Hussain said, highlighting the BJP’s aspirations for the upcoming assembly polls.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar comprises the BJP, Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)], Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustan Awam Morcha, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.

RJD Criticizes PM Modi’s Visit, Calls It Election-Driven

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav criticized PM Modi’s visit, alleging that it was politically motivated with elections due in Bihar later this year. He questioned the Prime Minister’s contributions to Bihar’s development over the past 11 years, particularly pointing out the denial of Central University status to Patna University.

“PM Modi, his ministers, and BJP leaders always visit Bihar when elections are near… If he couldn’t grant Patna University the status of a Central University in 11 years, what else can we expect?” Yadav said.

Former RJD Chief and veteran leader Lalu Prasad Yadav also dismissed the impact of BJP’s recent electoral successes on Bihar, asserting that the party has no chance of forming a government in the state.

“There will be no impact. How can they form the government while we are here? The people have now recognized the BJP,” Lalu Yadav stated.

Bihar Assembly Elections Set for October-November
