On August 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the much-anticipated Yellow Line of the Namma Metro, which would greatly improve the daily movement of people in Bengaluru. Tejasvi Surya, the MP for Bengaluru South, made the announcement and talked about how important the project is for the city.
Surya wrote on X, “Hon. PM Sri @narendramodi Ji’s visit to Bengaluru on August 10 will be a historic event for Bengaluru South.” He will not only open the long-awaited Yellow Line Metro operations, but he will also lay the foundation stone for Metro Phase 3, a project that got Cabinet approval in the first 100 days of his third term.
The opening ceremony meets the target of August 15 for the project’s completion. Surya says that the quick pace is due to the Prime Minister’s personal focus on getting the metro line open to the public as soon as possible.
