Guwahati (Assam) [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit at Khanapara Veterinary College field in Guwahati on February 25. The two-day event, scheduled for February 25-26, aims to boost infrastructure, industrial growth, and investment in Assam.
Grand Preparations Underway
Preparations are in full swing in Guwahati as the event is expected to host ambassadors and delegates from 51 countries, alongside top industrialists, corporate officials, and several Union Ministers.
Bimal Bora, Assam’s Minister of Industries & Commerce, confirmed that PM Modi will arrive in Guwahati on February 24 evening and will be accorded a grand welcome.
“On February 24, the Prime Minister will witness the mega Jhumoir performance at Sarusajai Stadium and visit the Advantage Assam 2.0 exhibition at Khanapara field. The next day, he will participate in the summit’s inaugural ceremony. All preparations have been made,” Bora told ANI.
Boosting Assam’s Industrial Growth
Assam’s 200-year-old industrial legacy, which began with the discovery of oil, has since expanded into multiple sectors. The state government aims to leverage Advantage Assam 2.0 to attract investors and accelerate industrial growth.
“Industrialists and investors from across India and abroad have been invited to the summit. The event will also focus on encouraging MSMEs and startups, further strengthening Assam’s industrial landscape,” Bora added.
He emphasized that PM Modi’s visit will add significant momentum to the state’s development initiatives.
With its strategic location and emerging business potential, Advantage Assam 2.0 is set to be a key milestone in Assam’s journey toward economic transformation.
