PM Modi’s Visit To Andhra Pradesh: Foundation Stones For Key Projects Worth Rs 2 Lakh Crores

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Andhra Pradesh BJP President Daggubati Purandeswari expressed excitement over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the state, marking his first trip since the elections. She highlighted the anticipation of the people, who are eager to welcome the Prime Minister, and praised the Central Government for its strong support to Andhra Pradesh.

“This is the first time after the elections that PM Modi is coming to Andhra Pradesh, and the people are really waiting to welcome him in a big way. The Centre has extended massive support to the state, and the people are very happy with this,” Purandeswari said.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit, scheduled for January 8, will see the laying of the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs 2 lakh crores in Andhra Pradesh.

Key highlights of his visit include the foundation laying of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Green Hydrogen Hub Project at Pudimadaka, near Visakhapatnam. This is the first Green Hydrogen Hub under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, with an investment of Rs 1.85 lakh crores. The project will focus on renewable energy, producing 1,500 TPD Green Hydrogen and 7,500 TPD of Green Hydrogen derivatives, such as Green Methanol, Green Urea, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel. It aims to contribute significantly to India’s target of achieving 500 GW non-fossil energy capacity by 2030.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for various railway and road projects worth over Rs 19,500 crore. This includes the South Coast Railway Headquarters in Visakhapatnam, which will reduce congestion, improve connectivity, and support regional economic growth.

Further advancing his vision of accessible and affordable healthcare, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for the Bulk Drug Park at Nakkapalli in the Anakapalli district. The park will boost the local economy by creating thousands of jobs and accelerating industrial growth due to its strategic location near the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor.

PM Modi will also lay the Foundation Stone of Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City) in Tirupati district, a flagship project under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme. The industrial smart city project, with an estimated investment of Rs 10,500 crore, will create around one lakh direct and indirect jobs, driving economic progress and regional development.

Purandeswari reiterated that these monumental projects reflect the Central Government’s commitment to Andhra Pradesh’s progress and development, and the people of the state are eager to see these initiatives unfold under PM Modi’s leadership.
