PM Modi To Visit RSS Founder’s Memorial In Nagpur Today

New Delhi [India]: As the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) gears up for its centenary celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nagpur on Sunday to pay homage at the memorial of RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar at Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh.

During his visit, PM Modi will also pay respects to Babasaheb Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi, the site where the architect of the Indian Constitution embraced Buddhism along with thousands of his followers in 1956.

PM Modi’s Schedule in Nagpur

The Prime Minister’s visit will begin in Nagpur at 9 AM with darshan at Smruti Mandir, followed by a visit to Deekshabhoomi. At 10 AM, he will lay the foundation stone of the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, an extension of the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre, a premier ophthalmic care facility established in 2014.

At around 12:30 PM, he will inaugurate Loitering Munition Testing Range and a UAV Runway facility at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited. This facility will feature a 1,250m long and 25m wide airstrip for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and a testing facility for guided munitions.

PM Modi’s Visit to Chhattisgarh

Later in the day, PM Modi will travel to Chhattisgarh to launch multiple development projects worth over ₹33,700 crore in Bilaspur. These projects span across power, oil and gas, rail, road, education, and housing sectors, reinforcing the government’s commitment to infrastructural development and economic growth.

RSS Leaders on PM Modi’s Visit

RSS ideologue Ashutosh Adoni described PM Modi’s visit as a “very important and historic moment.” He emphasized that a volunteer from the Sangh, now serving as India’s Prime Minister, visiting Smruti Mandir holds deep significance.

“This is a very important and historic visit. A volunteer who is today the Prime Minister of India is coming to Smruti Mandir on such a special day, which is considered a milestone in the journey of the Sangh,” Adoni told ANI.

Senior RSS member Seshadri Chari highlighted that this is PM Modi’s first visit to Smruti Mandir as Prime Minister and marks an important milestone in the RSS’s centenary celebrations.

“This will be the first time he will be going there after becoming the PM, and this is a very important and historic visit. The government’s job is to make India a strong nation and a Viksit Bharat (Developed India), and PM Modi has been actively working towards that,” said Chari.

PM Modi’s visit to Nagpur and Chhattisgarh highlights the intersection of India’s historical legacy, strategic defence initiatives, and large-scale development projects.
