Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], March 29: Preparations are in full swing as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Nagpur on Sunday, March 30, where he will attend multiple events and inaugurate important projects. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers are gearing up to welcome the Prime Minister to the city.
According to a release from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi will visit four key locations during his visit: Smruti Mandir of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Deekshabhoomi, Madhav Netralaya, and Solar Industrial Explosives.
PM Modi is expected to arrive in Nagpur at around 9 AM. His first stop will be the Smruti Mandir, where he will undertake Darshan and pay homage to the RSS’s founding father, coinciding with the RSS’s Pratipada program, which marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year. Afterward, he will visit Deekshabhoomi to pay tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, where Dr. Ambedkar embraced Buddhism along with thousands of his followers in 1956.
At around 10 AM, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, an extension of the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre, which provides world-class eye care services. The new facility will include a 250-bed hospital, 14 outpatient departments (OPDs), and 14 modular operation theatres.
Later in the day, at around 12:30 PM, PM Modi will visit Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited, where he will inaugurate the newly built 1250-meter long and 25-meter wide airstrip for Unarmed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). He will also inaugurate the Loitering Munition Testing Range and Runway facility for UAVs, aimed at advancing India’s defence capabilities.
Following his visit to Nagpur, the Prime Minister will travel to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, where he will lay the foundation stone for and initiate several major development projects worth over Rs 33,700 crore. He will also address a public meeting in the region.
