PM Modi To Inaugurate And Launch Development Projects Worth ₹12,200 Crores In Delhi

New Delhi [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for key development projects worth over ₹12,200 crores in the national capital on Sunday, aiming to enhance regional connectivity and infrastructure.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that these initiatives mark a significant milestone in improving transportation and healthcare facilities for millions of people in Delhi and neighboring regions.

Major Highlights of the Event:

  1. Inauguration of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor:
    PM Modi will inaugurate the 13-km Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor connecting Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar. Built at an estimated cost of ₹4,600 crores, this project introduces Delhi’s first Namo Bharat high-speed connectivity. It aims to provide a comfortable and reliable travel experience, significantly reducing travel time between Delhi and Meerut, thereby benefiting millions of passengers.
  2. Launch of Janakpuri-Krishna Park Metro Section:
    The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the 2.8-km Janakpuri-Krishna Park stretch of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, valued at ₹1,200 crores. As the first operational section of Phase-IV, this development will ease congestion and improve connectivity in West Delhi areas like Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.
  3. Foundation Stone for Rithala-Kundli Metro Section:
    PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the 26.5-km Rithala-Kundli metro section, a ₹6,230-crore project under Delhi Metro Phase-IV. This extension of the Red Line will connect Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, passing through areas like Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli, enhancing connectivity across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
  4. Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI):
    A state-of-the-art Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) building will also see its foundation stone laid by PM Modi. To be constructed at a cost of ₹185 crores in Rohini, Delhi, the facility will provide cutting-edge infrastructure for Ayurvedic research and healthcare, furthering India’s contributions to traditional medicine.

These projects underscore the government’s commitment to bolstering Delhi’s infrastructure and fostering economic growth in the region.
