New Delhi [India], January 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation for multiple major development projects in Delhi on Sunday, January 5, with a combined value of over Rs 12,200 crore. The Prime Minister will begin his day with a ride on the Namo Bharat Train from Sahibabad RRTS Station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station at 11:15 AM.
At around 12:15 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate a key 13 km stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, valued at approximately Rs 4,600 crore. This new high-speed corridor will be the first of its kind in Delhi, greatly improving connectivity and providing a safe, comfortable travel option between Delhi and Meerut, benefiting millions of commuters.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will launch a 2.8 km stretch of the Delhi Metro Phase-IV, linking Janakpuri to Krishna Park, valued at Rs 1,200 crore. This will be the first stretch of Phase-IV to be inaugurated and will benefit residents of West Delhi, including areas like Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation for the 26.5 km Rithala-Kundli section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, worth around Rs 6,230 crore. This new corridor will improve connectivity between Rithala in Delhi and Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, benefitting areas like Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli, and enhancing access to residential, commercial, and industrial hubs across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for a state-of-the-art building for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, New Delhi, which will be built at a cost of around Rs 185 crore. The new facility will offer advanced healthcare infrastructure, including an administrative block, OPD, IPD, and treatment areas, aiming to provide comprehensive care and research in Ayurveda.
