New Delhi [India], July 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth across various government departments today during the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Rozgar Mela is a crucial initiative aimed at fulfilling PM Modi’s vision of prioritising employment generation and empowering the youth to contribute to nation-building. Over 10 lakh appointment letters have been issued through Rozgar Mela so far.
This edition of the employment drive will take place at 47 locations nationwide, covering recruitments across major Central Government Ministries and Departments including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Ministry of Labour and Employment.
In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s resolve to boost youth involvement in creating a ‘Viksit and Aatmnirbhar Bharat.’ “We are determined to enhance the participation of young friends in building a developed and self-reliant India,” he said.
During the 15th edition held in April, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) had issued 6,677 appointment letters, with a mix of physical and virtual distribution. This format will be followed again today, connecting all 47 locations to the Prime Minister’s address via video conferencing.
