PM Modi Inaugurates Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 In Delhi

New Delhi [India], January 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday. During the event, he interacted with artisans and was felicitated by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Chairperson Shaji KV. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also attended the ceremony.

Ahead of the inauguration, PM Modi emphasized that the prosperity of villages is key to realizing the vision of a developed India. He posted on X, stating, “The more prosperous our villages become, the greater their role in realizing the resolve of a developed India.” He further highlighted the significance of the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav for strengthening the rural economy.

The Mahotsav, scheduled from January 4 to 9, carries the theme ‘Building a Resilient Rural India for a Viksit Bharat 2047’. It aims to enhance rural infrastructure, promote self-reliant economies, and foster innovation within rural communities. The event will focus on financial inclusion, sustainable agricultural practices, and economic stability, with special attention to North-East India.

Key aspects of the Mahotsav include empowering rural women through entrepreneurship, fostering collaboration among government officials, rural entrepreneurs, and stakeholders, and showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage through exhibitions and performances. The event will also encourage discussions on leveraging technology to improve rural livelihoods.

On Friday, PM Modi inaugurated 1,675 newly constructed flats for JJ cluster residents at Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar, Delhi, and handed over keys to eligible beneficiaries.
