PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Rajnath Singh Extend Greetings on Navy Day
New Delhi [India], December 4: On the occasion of Indian Navy Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings and paid tribute to the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy for their unwavering courage and dedication.
“On Navy Day, we salute the valiant personnel of the Indian Navy who protect our seas with unmatched courage and dedication. Their commitment ensures the safety, security, and prosperity of our nation. We also take great pride in India’s rich maritime history,” PM Modi shared in a post on X.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also commemorated the day, highlighting the Navy’s formidable combat prowess. “Greetings to the personnel of the Indian Navy on Navy Day. This occasion honors the extraordinary combat strength of our Navy, which plays a vital role in safeguarding maritime routes, enhancing foreign relations, and providing humanitarian support. Salutations to the immortal martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation,” Shah wrote on X.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in his message, praised the Indian Navy as a crucial pillar in the country’s national security framework. “I extend my greetings to all Indian Navy personnel and their families. The Indian Navy is vital in safeguarding India’s maritime security. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe, secure, and stable seas, reaffirming our position as the Preferred Security Partner and First Responder in the Indian Ocean Region,” Singh posted on X.
The Indian Navy observes December 4 as Navy Day each year to honor its role and commemorate its victory in ‘Operation Trident’ during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
