PM Modi Holds Roadshow In Patna

Patna (Bihar) [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a vibrant roadshow in Patna on Wednesday evening, drawing large crowds who enthusiastically greeted him. Many attendees waved the Tricolour and chanted slogans as PM Modi acknowledged the crowd with waves.

Residents living along the route gathered on rooftops and balconies to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated the New Terminal Building at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, Patna. The event was attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu.

Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1,200 crore, the new terminal is designed to accommodate one crore passengers annually.

The Prime Minister is also set to lay the foundation stone for a new civil enclave at Bihta Airport, a Rs 1,410 crore project aimed at supporting the rapidly growing educational and residential sectors near Patna.

On May 30, PM Modi will visit Karakat, Bihar, to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore.

One of the key highlights is the foundation laying for Stage-II (3×800 MW) of the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project in Aurangabad district, a project valued at more than Rs 29,930 crore. This project is expected to substantially enhance electricity generation, industrial growth, and employment in the region.

The Prime Minister will also lay foundation stones for vital road infrastructure projects, including the four-laning of the Patna-Arrah-Sasaram section of NH-119A; six-laning of the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata highway (NH-319B); the Ramnagar-Kacchi Dargah stretch (NH-119D); and a new Ganga bridge between Buxar and Bharauli.

Additionally, he will inaugurate the four-laning of the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi section of NH-22 and road improvements in Gopalganj Town on NH-27.

In the rail sector, PM Modi will dedicate the third rail line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj to the nation. Built at a cost of over Rs 1,330 crore, this line aims to increase rail capacity and improve regional connectivity.
