New Delhi [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday stated that this is the first Budget session since 2014 where he has witnessed “no foreign interference” in India’s parliamentary affairs.
Addressing the media before heading to Parliament, PM Modi remarked:
“Since 2014, this is the first Parliament session that has seen no ‘videshi chingari’ (foreign interference). In previous years, foreign forces have tried to ignite tensions, and some within our country have even aided in fanning these sparks. However, this time, there is no such interference.”
Government’s Focus on ‘Mission Mode’ Growth
PM Modi emphasized that his government, in its third term, will work in “Mission Mode” to achieve all-round development across geographical, social, and economic sectors. He highlighted three key pillars—Innovation, Inclusion, and Investment (3Is)—as the driving forces behind India’s economic growth.
“Reform, perform, and transform—these principles are essential for development. While reforms create opportunities, the central and state governments must perform effectively, and transformation is ultimately driven by public participation,” he stated.
Historic Bills & Women’s Empowerment in Focus
PM Modi highlighted that the current session would witness the discussion and passage of several historic bills, particularly focusing on women’s empowerment.
“Many important decisions will be taken to re-establish the pride of women power and ensure equal rights for every woman, regardless of caste or creed,” he added.
Budget 2025 & Vision for Viksit Bharat
PM Modi reiterated his vision for Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047, stating that today’s 20-25-year-olds would be the biggest beneficiaries of India’s growth trajectory when they turn 50 years old.
“This budget session is a golden opportunity for young MPs to contribute towards shaping Viksit Bharat. They will witness this transformation and be part of history,” he said.
Ahead of the session, PM Modi bowed to Goddess Lakshmi, seeking blessings for the nation’s prosperity.
