Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the significance of the day for Delhi’s development, announcing a series of inaugurations and foundation stone-laying ceremonies aimed at enhancing the ‘Ease of Living’ for Delhi residents.

Taking to X, PM Modi remarked:
“Today is an important day for Delhi’s development. At a programme in Ashok Vihar, will be inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for a wide range of development works which will boost ‘Ease of Living’ for the people of Delhi.”
- In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project:
- 1,675 flats constructed for residents of Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) clusters under the Swabhiman Apartments project in Ashok Vihar.
- Eligible beneficiaries contribute only 7% of the total construction cost (₹1.42 lakh), with ₹30,000 covering five years of maintenance.
- Educational Infrastructure:
- Foundation stone for an academic block at the Eastern Campus, Surajmal Vihar, and another at the Western Campus, Dwarka.
- Launch of Veer Savarkar College in Roshanpura, Najafgarh, designed with state-of-the-art educational facilities.

- CBSE Integrated Office Complex at Dwarka:
- A ₹300 crore eco-friendly project designed to IGBC Platinum standards.
- Features offices, an advanced data center, an auditorium, and water management systems.
