It is truly an honour to receive them from a leader I have long held in the highest regard. Thank you for your kind words. Jai Hind.”
Rajinikanth made his on-screen debut on August 15, 1975, with the film Apoorva Raagangal. At 74, he remains one of the most enduring and successful commercial stars in Tamil cinema, with a massive fan base across India. His latest film, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was released on August 14 and has already broken records, grossing ₹150 crore worldwide on its opening day and crossing the ₹100 crore mark in India alone on its second day.
