This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali on the Indian Naval Ship INS Vikrant, which is the country’s first homegrown aircraft carrier. On Sunday night, the Prime Minister took part in the holiday celebrations, which featured a cultural presentation and a ceremonial feast called Bara Khana.
On Sunday night, PM Modi got on the INS Vikrant off the coast of Goa. The Prime Minister called the Indian Armed Forces “his family” as part of his 11-year tradition of spending Diwali with them.
“I celebrate Diwali with my family every year because it’s become a habit of mine,” he stated to the sailors and commanders.
Cultural Program and Air Power Show
The Indian Navy put on a cultural presentation that was one of the best parts of the night. Naval officers and sailors sang a number of patriotic songs, including one they wrote themselves called “Kasam Sindoor Ki” to honor the Indian Armed Forces’ accomplishment in Operation Sindoor.
The Prime Minister was very affected by the show. He posted on X, “Will always cherish the cultural program on board INS Vikrant last night.” The sailors are quite innovative and adaptable. They wrote a song called “Kasam Sindoor Ki” that I will never forget.
PM Modi also took part in the customary Bara Khana and saw an outstanding Air Power Demo, which included MiG 29 fighters taking off and landing on the carrier’s limited runway during the day and at night. He then posted a video of the demonstration on X.
Morning Fun and Speech
The Prime Minister did yoga on the deck of INS Vikrant on Monday morning. He also saw an amazing Steampast and Flypast before giving an encouraging speech to the Navy. He ended the party by giving the soldiers candy.
In his speech, Prime Minister Modi said how lucky he was to be able to celebrate the holiday with the valiant warriors of the country. “Today, on one side, I have infinite horizons, infinite sky, and on the other side, I have this giant, INS Vikrant, embodying infinite powers.” The way the sun’s rays shine on the ocean’s waters is like the way courageous soldiers light Diwali lamps… He said, “I am lucky that this time I am celebrating this holy festival of Diwali with all of you brave Navy soldiers.”
