PM Modi Blasts RJD’s ‘Jungle Raj’ And Mahagathbandhan Ahead of Bihar Polls Phase 2

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a fiery address in Sitamarhi today, one of the key campaigning stops ahead of the second phase of the Bihar assembly elections (scheduled for November 11). The Prime Minister’s speech was heavily focused on the issue of governance, with repeated, sharp attacks directed at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its past rule, which he repeatedly termed as Jungle Raj.

A Choice Between Doctors and Goons

PM Modi framed the assembly elections as a crucial decision that would shape the destiny of the state’s youth.

“This election will determine what the future of Bihar’s children will be in the coming years, what the future of your offspring will be. Therefore, this election is very important.”

He launched a direct attack on the Opposition’s alleged legacy of lawlessness, coining a new slogan for the NDA: “Nahi chahiye katta sarkaar, fir ek baar NDA sarkaar” (We don’t want a gun-wielding government; once again we want an NDA government).

The Prime Minister explicitly warned against the return of RJD rule, stating that the choice for Bihar’s children was stark:

  • “Should a child from Bihar become a Rangdaar (gangster) or a doctor?”
  • “A child from Bihar will now become not a Rangdaar, but an engineer, doctor, advocate, and judge in the court.”

He defined the Opposition’s alleged past rule as: “Jungle rule means – gun, cruelty, bitterness, bad upbringing, and corruption.

Attack on Development and Industry

PM Modi heavily criticized the RJD and Congress for neglecting industrial growth and development during their tenure, contrasting it with the NDA’s track record.

  • “These RJD and Congress folks don’t even know the ABCD of industries. These people only know how to put locks on industries,” he claimed.
  • He cited a lack of development, noting, “In 15 years of jungle raj, not a single big hospital or medical college was built in Bihar. In 15 years, not a single big factory was set up in Bihar.”

NDA’s Assurances and ’65 Volt Ka Jhatka’

The Prime Minister assured the crowd that the NDA government has restored investor trust, leading to better connectivity and industrial revival, referencing the restarting of the Riga Sugar Mill. He also announced a new direct rail service from Sitamarhi to Ayodhya to honor the region’s heritage and connect it to the Ramayana Circuit.

He concluded by taking a swipe at the RJD over the turnout in the first phase of polling (November 6), claiming the high participation indicated a wave for the NDA. “In the first phase of the elections, the people of Bihar… The people of Jungle Raj got a ’65 volt jhatka’,” he asserted.
