The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Saturday that a group of people led by Commerce and Industries Minister Piyush Goyal will go to the United States on September 22 for the next round of trade talks.
The purpose of the visit is to move talks forward so that the two countries can quickly reach a trade agreement that works for both of them.
Minister Goyal will be in New York with Special Secretary Rajesh Agrawal and other high-ranking ministry officials.
The talks that are coming up are after representatives from the US Trade Representative’s office visited India on September 16, 2025, and had good conversations about many parts of the trade pact. After that, both sides agreed to work harder to settle outstanding difficulties and get closer to a final deal.
The ministry said in a statement, “As part of these talks, a delegation led by the Commerce and Industries Minister will meet with the US side on September 22, 2025.”
The visit is likely to be very important for boosting the trade relationship between India and the US, which is important because both economies want to work together more in important areas.
