New Delhi [India], March 29 : Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in maintaining strong relations with the Donald Trump administration in the United States, emphasizing that India and the US together form a “force multiplier.” Goyal stated that India’s influence on global affairs would shape the future, with the world soon adopting India’s perspectives.
Speaking at the Goyal TV9 Global Summit, Goyal said, “What India thinks today, the world will think tomorrow. The government has faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Addressing concerns over tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, Goyal noted that India and the US are not competitors but collaborators capable of offering new directions to the world. He emphasized that the strengths of India, particularly its youth, are equally significant as the technological innovations provided by the US.
“There is a strong friendship between PM Modi and President Trump. Trump himself has said he considers PM Modi a close friend. They welcomed him in Washington. India and the USA are not in competition but can join forces to guide the world. Our strengths, including our young people, contribute as much to the table as the US’s high-tech innovations. Together, India and the US are a force multiplier,” Goyal stated.
The Minister highlighted India’s remarkable contribution to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, noting that the country produces the highest number of STEM graduates globally, with 43% of them being women. He also underscored that India’s democracy, rule of law, and independent judiciary foster investment and collaboration opportunities in the country.
“India creates the most STEM graduates in the world, where 43% of them are girls. This power of India attracts the world towards us. PM Modi is providing us with decisive representation. The youth will contribute to the world economy. Our democracy and rule of law will encourage partnerships. Investors and traders know India offers a stable environment for business,” Goyal explained.
Goyal emphasized that India’s robust legal framework and independent judiciary, which uphold justice and prevent discrimination, are key factors in the nation’s ability to build strong economic relations with developed countries.
“We have an independent judiciary that ensures there is no injustice or discrimination. This power of India is recognized by developed nations, which are keen to maintain economic relations with us. I thank PM Modi for the confidence he has built; it is our strength,” Goyal added.
