New Delhi [India], December 5: Union Minister Piyush Goyal expressed his excitement ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra CM-designate Devendra Fadnavis, which is set to take place in Mumbai on Thursday.

Fadnavis will be sworn in as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. Alongside him, NCP leader Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde will take their oaths as deputy chief ministers, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.

Goyal conveyed his anticipation for Fadnavis’s swearing-in, emphasizing that the Mahayuti government will “continue” to offer good governance, foster progress, and accelerate the state’s development, aligning with the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra.

“Very excited about the swearing-in ceremony in Mumbai. We are looking forward to my younger brother, Devendra Fadnavis, becoming the CM, which is well-deserved. I’m happy that Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will join the government as Deputy CMs. The Mahayuti will continue to provide good governance, development, and meet the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra, who have given us such a significant victory,” Goyal stated.

In addition, UP Deputy CM Brajesh Thakur, who arrived in Mumbai for the ceremony, also extended his congratulations to Fadnavis, stating, “Mahayuti government will take oath today. I congratulate Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar, and wish the Maharashtra BJP all the best for its victory in the state. This ‘double-engine’ government will set a benchmark for multi-faceted development.”

Madhya Pradesh Deputy CM Jagdish Deora also offered his congratulations, saying, “I extend congratulations on the oath ceremony of the Mahayuti government. PM Modi and many senior leaders will be present here today.”
