‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’ Renewed For Season 3 Ahead Of Season 2 Premiere

Washington [US]: Disney+ has officially renewed Percy Jackson and the Olympians for a third season, nearly a year before the highly anticipated Season 2 premieres.

According to Variety, the upcoming season will adapt Rick Riordan’s novel The Titan’s Curse, continuing Percy’s thrilling journey through Greek mythology.

The announcement came from Disney Branded Television and 20th Television, reinforcing their commitment to expanding the popular fantasy series.

Season 2, which recently wrapped production in Vancouver, is set to debut in December 2025, though an exact premiere date has yet to be revealed.

Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television, expressed excitement about the series’ success:

“From the moment Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages. With Season 2 set to premiere this December, we’re thrilled to announce that Percy’s journey will continue with a third season.”

She further praised the show’s creative team:

“Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan’s world to life with such depth and imagination.”

Series creator Rick Riordan also shared his excitement, teasing new characters for the upcoming season:

“This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time. It’s a huge sign of commitment from Disney and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show. Thank you, demigods worldwide!”

The renewal follows the show’s strong performance, with Variety reporting that Percy Jackson and the Olympians ranked among the top five most-watched original streaming series during its debut in December 2023. Disney also revealed that the first episode attracted 13.3 million views across Disney+ and Hulu within its first six days.

Returning cast members for Season 2 include Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer.

The series, co-created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, is executive produced by Dan Shotz, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler, and Sarah Watson.
