Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 14: Spiritual orator Jaya Kishori, who visited Prayagraj during the ongoing Mahakumbh, encouraged people to experience the unique atmosphere created by the mass gathering. She emphasized that the energy at Kumbh Nagari, especially during such significant events, is unlike anything seen on regular days.
Speaking about the extraordinary energy of the Mahakumbh, Kishori said, “The emotions of all those who have gathered here are magnificent. Despite the cold weather, the sheer number of devotees is awe-inspiring. The energy created by such a massive gathering is unique, and it cannot be felt on normal days.”
She added, “Anyone who visits this place will find everything — peace, knowledge, spirituality, and culture. Prayagraj is currently witnessing a beautiful blend of all these elements.”
Kishori was accompanied by Swami Chidanand Saraswati, the spiritual head of the Rishikesh-based Parmarth Niketan Ashram, and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati as they took a boat ride at Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati invited people to experience the grand religious gathering, highlighting the significance of the event. He said, “On this Makar Sankranti, we are witnessing not just a ritual bath but the collective purification of Sanatan Dharma. This Kumbh is a celebration of its immortality, and I invite everyone to come and witness it.”
Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati also shared her thoughts, saying, “Taking the holy dip today, I felt immense gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this sacred moment with millions of others. The power of Sanatan Dharma is universal, and the holy dip at Sangam offers a solution to every problem.”
In a notable moment, Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya, after performing the Amrit Snan at Triveni Sangam, expressed his joy at being the first Acharya to take the holy dip and praised the Uttar Pradesh government’s arrangements for the event. “I am extremely happy to have been the first Acharya to take the holy dip. The arrangements made by the state government are impressive, managing such a massive crowd with great success,” he said.
As of Tuesday, approximately twenty million devotees had participated in the first ‘Amrit Snan’ of the Maha Kumbh 2025. Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary for Urban Development, Amrit Abhijat, reported that the number of devotees taking the holy dip was expected to exceed 25 million by evening.
