In the midst of a public controversy involving Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh and actor Anjali Raghav, the singer’s wife, Jyoti Singh, has taken to social media to express her frustration over her husband’s lack of communication. Jyoti, who married Singh in 2018, claims she has been trying to contact him for months to discuss “family and political matters,” but her calls and messages have gone unanswered.
In a recent Instagram post featuring a photo of the couple, Jyoti appealed directly to Pawan Singh. “Dear husband Shri Pawan Singh Ji,” the post began, “for several months now, I have been trying to talk to you… but you or the people around you have perhaps not considered it appropriate to reply to my calls and messages.”
Jyoti detailed her attempts to meet him, including traveling to Lucknow and trying to see him during Chhath Puja in Karakat. She alleged that he refused to meet her and told her to meet him in Lucknow instead. She also mentioned that her father tried to meet with him two months ago but also received no positive response.
Expressing her anguish, Jyoti wrote about feeling punished and disrespected. “What great sin have I committed that I am being given such a big punishment? My parents’ honour is being played with… I have fulfilled my duty as a loyal wife, walking step-by-step with you. Now it’s your turn to fulfil your duty,” she wrote. She added that it “feels very bad” when he embraces people who have spoken against him, but she is unable to share her own problems with her family.
When asked why she chose to air her grievances on social media, Jyoti explained that it was her last resort, as all other attempts to communicate with her husband had failed.
