Once again, Pawan Singh, a Bhojpuri actor, is in the heart of a lot of controversy. As he deals with public anger over a viral video and the recent departure of his co-star from the industry, his second wife, Jyoti Singh, has made a number of disturbing claims on Instagram, saying he was neglectful and hinting at suicidal thoughts.
After all of these problems started to pile up, Singh posted a picture of himself praying along with a Hindi proverb that said, “एक कहावत है— जिस तन लागे सो तन जाने, कोई न जाने पीर पराई,” which means, “Only the one who suffers knows the pain; no one else can truly understand another’s suffering.” The post has since gone viral, with admirers showing their support and some individuals criticizing him for the problems he has caused.
The most recent scandal started when a video came out that showed Singh reportedly grabbing his co-star Anjali Raghav inappropriately at a public event in Lucknow. Anjali made a video statement on August 30 in which she condemned his conduct and said she was leaving the Bhojpuri film industry. She said that she had been worried and quite hurt since the event, and that her first grin on stage was because she was confused, not because she agreed.
In the meantime, Pawan Singh’s second wife, Jyoti Singh, posted an emotional message on her own Instagram account, saying that the actor had been ignoring her for months. The most worrying portion of her statement was when she wrote that “self-immolation” was the only choice she had left because of the neglect and disdain she believes she has been getting.
The couple has been in trouble before. In 2022, Jyoti Singh said that the actor had mentally abused her and hit her. The couple is still going through the divorce process, and Jyoti is said to be asking for a large amount of alimony. Singh has not yet responded to the claims made by his wife or Anjali Raghav.
