Despite receiving a mixed reception from critics, director Sujeeth’s gangster film, They Call Him OG, has demonstrated immense box office power, storming past the ₹200 crore mark in worldwide collections in just three days of its release.
The film, which features Power Star Pawan Kalyan as the titular character Ojas Gambheera, has not only become his first ₹200 crore film but has also been hailed as his highest-grossing film in a career-defining performance.
According to the trade tracker Sacnilk, the Telugu film’s phenomenal three-day run (including premieres) is broken down as follows:
| Component | Collection (Approx.) |
| India Net Collection (by Saturday) | ₹121.70 crore |
| Overseas Collection (Gross) | ₹55 crore |
| Total Worldwide Gross Collection (by Saturday) | ₹200.85 crore |
Export to Sheets
The movie’s staggering success places it as the second-highest-grossing Telugu film of the year, following Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which holds the top spot with a lifetime collection of ₹255.2 crore. OG‘s swift performance has already surpassed the lifetime collections of major releases like Ram Charan’s Game Changer (₹186.25 crore) and Salman Khan’s Sikandar (₹184.6 crore).
Boost from Hiked Ticket Prices
The record-breaking collections were significantly aided by a strategic pricing move for its debut. OG premiered with ticket prices hiked to ₹1000 in Andhra Pradesh and ₹800 in Telangana on the evening of September 24. Furthermore, the film was granted permission to maintain higher ticket prices, increased by ₹100 or more, for the first ten days of its run. Hiked rates in international markets also contributed to the substantial overseas haul.
With no major competition currently in theatres other than Teja Sajja’s Mirai, which was released earlier on September 12, and the upcoming Dasara festival period, the film is poised to continue its strong box office trajectory.
About They Call Him OG

The plot sees him clash with the film’s antagonist, Omi Bhau, a character played by Emraan Hashmi in his Telugu film debut. The ensemble cast also includes Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, and Subhalekha Sudhakar.
