The parents of Muskan Rastogi, accused of brutally murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput, have expressed shock and grief, demanding the death penalty for their daughter and her partner Sahil Shukla.
Muskan and Sahil allegedly killed Saurabh, dismembered his body, and sealed the parts in a drum filled with cement.
Parents Condemn Daughter’s Actions
Muskan’s father, Pramod Rastogi, expressed his anger, stating:
“My daughter (Muskan) killed her husband (Saurabh)… She is not fit for society and is dangerous to everyone. I would advise others not to take such steps… She should be hanged till death, and if possible, it should be live…”
Her mother, Kavita Rastogi, devastated by the crime, also demanded strict punishment:
“Saurabh was a good man… We demand justice, and we want her (Muskan) to be hanged till death.”
The grieving parents also emphasized that their son-in-law was a kind and decent man and deserved justice.
Police Investigation and Arrest
According to Meerut City SP Ayush Vikram Singh, the brutal crime took place on March 4, when Saurabh Rajput, a merchant navy officer, returned home.
“A person named Saurabh Rajput, working in the merchant navy, came home on March 4 and had been missing since then,” said SP Singh.
On suspicion, Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla were questioned by the police.
“During questioning, Sahil Shukla confessed that on March 4, he and Muskan Rastogi stabbed Saurabh to death. They dismembered the body, put it in a drum, and sealed it with cement. The police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem,” SP Singh added.
The police confirmed that Muskan and Sahil have been arrested, and an FIR has been registered against them.
