Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 23: Renowned actor Pankaj Tripathi has teamed up once again with filmmaker Amit Rai, following the success of their socially impactful film OMG 2. The new project, currently untitled, has officially commenced filming and is expected to wrap up in 35 days.
Joining Tripathi in the cast are veteran actors Pawan Malhotra, Geeta Agarwal, and Rajesh Kumar.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Tripathi said, “OMG 2 was a very special film for me—not just because it marked my first solo box office success of over ₹180 crore, but because it touched people deeply. Working with Amit again feels like a natural next step. His storytelling is rooted in honesty and purpose, and this particular film draws from the soil of Bihar—my home, my identity.”
Director Amit Rai echoed Tripathi’s sentiments, highlighting the emotional depth of the story. “Working with Pankaj again is like returning to a space where performance and truth converge. This film explores human resilience, relationships, and the intricate social fabric that binds us. With support from the Bihar Film Nigam, we are committed to showcasing local talent and the essence of Bihar. It’s more than a film—it’s a tribute to real lives and lived experiences,” Rai said.
While plot details remain under wraps, the filmmakers have promised a narrative that blends entertainment with meaningful storytelling, much like their previous collaboration.
