The news comes at a time when tri-series contests are gaining popular again. Getting ready for next year’s T20 World Cup will be highly essential for all three sides. During the group stage, each side will face each other twice in six games. The Gaddafi Cricket Stadium in Lahore will host the final on November 29. The top two teams will move on.
Naseeb Khan, the CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, said, “This is a good sign because the Afghanistan National Team keeps playing against the best teams.”
The series will make the Afghanistan team’s already full schedule even fuller. They just lost a thrilling tri-series final in the UAE to a good team from Pakistan. The 2025 Asia Cup will take place in September, and in October, India and Bangladesh will play a series of games against each other. The new tri-series will be the last thing they do outside of the country this year.
This is a good step for cricket in Pakistan, which wants to host international competitions more often.
