DUBAI – Pakistan battled back from the brink of defeat to beat Bangladesh by 11 runs on Thursday in a nail-biting match that was like a semi-final. Pakistan will play India in the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday, September 28, thanks to this hard-fought win.

The game was like a rollercoaster, with Bangladesh in charge in the opening half. Bangladesh’s bowlers did a great job after winning the toss and choosing to field. They had Pakistan at 49 for 5 after 10 overs, which was a shaky start. Taskin Ahmed, who came back to the team, was the Tigers’ best bowler, taking three wickets.
But the lower order of Pakistan’s team showed amazing strength to get the team back in the game. Mohammad Haris (31), Mohammad Nawaz (25), and Shaheen Afridi (19) all made important contributions that helped Pakistan get back on track and score 135 runs in their 20 overs.
At the end of the first inning, the tide changed completely. Pakistan made a great comeback with an amazing and unrelenting performance of bowling. Even though Bangladesh’s batting order was trying to reach a goal that seemed possible, they couldn’t handle the pressure. The Pakistan bowlers had a firm hold on the game, restricting Bangladesh to only 124 for 9.
The win sets up the third match between Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup 2025 event, which will be an exciting and high-stakes final in Dubai.
