Los Angeles: The nominations for the 98th Academy Awards were officially announced on Thursday, with actors Lewis Pullman and Danielle Brooks unveiling the contenders during a live presentation from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.
This year’s nominations were headlined by Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, which rewrote Oscar history by becoming the most-nominated film ever. The film secured a staggering 16 nominations, surpassing the long-standing record of 14 nominations previously held by classics such as All About Eve, Titanic, and La La Land.
