North Goa Nightclub Fire: New Video Shows Inferno Moments That Killed 25, Including Tourists

A chilling new video has emerged showing the terrifying moments after a massive fire erupted at a popular nightclub in North Goa, turning the venue into a death trap and claiming 25 lives, including five tourists.

The incident occurred late on Saturday at Birch by Romeo Lane in Arpora, around 25 km from Panaji. What began as a vibrant musical night quickly transformed into chaos as flames, thick smoke, and fireballs engulfed the club, leaving partygoers scrambling for safety.

According to the viral video, the fire started shortly after a dancer took the stage during a Bollywood-themed performance. The club’s Instagram page had promoted the event as a “Bollywood Banger Night.” In the clip, the performer can be seen dancing to the iconic Sholay track “Mehbooba Mehbooba” when small sparks appear on the ceiling. Moments earlier, fireworks had been set off indoors to enhance the show’s visual impact.

Possible Cause and Safety Violations

While the exact cause of the blaze is still being investigated, officials suspect that the fire originated from the indoor pyrotechnics used during the performance. Early reports also indicate that the nightclub may have been operating without mandatory fire department clearance, raising serious questions about safety compliance.

Authorities have launched a probe into whether negligence, overcrowding, and lack of emergency exits contributed to the high casualty count. Rescue teams reported that the speed at which the flames spread left little time for evacuation.

The tragic incident has once again sparked nationwide concern about fire safety standards in entertainment venues, especially those using fireworks and special effects indoors.
