Nora Fatehi has issued a sharp and strongly worded statement after being named in an ongoing investigation into an alleged drug syndicate linked to underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim.
A massive drug racket has been uncovered by the Mumbai Police, with several well-known personalities reportedly under scrutiny. According to officials, the list includes actors Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, and Alishah Parkar — the nephew of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The racket is alleged to have been operated by Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, also known as Lavish.
Investigators claim that Salim orchestrated a sprawling network of high-profile drug parties across India and various international locations. These gatherings were reportedly attended by prominent figures from the worlds of film, fashion, music, and even members of Dawood’s family.
According to reports cited by PTI, Salim admitted during interrogation that he regularly organised such parties, drawing celebrities and underworld-linked attendees. An India Today investigation further revealed that the entire operation was allegedly run from Dubai, where Salim resides. His son, Taher Dola, who was brought back to India from the UAE in August, has reportedly provided crucial details to authorities.
Documents accessed by the outlet suggest the presence of Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and relatives of Dawood Ibrahim at these events.
Nora Fatehi Responds
Amid the rising speculation, Nora Fatehi has become one of the first public figures to respond. Issuing a firm statement, she said her name is being dragged into the controversy because it is “an easy target,” and denied any involvement in the alleged drug network. She urged the public and the media not to jump to conclusions based on unverified claims made during interrogations.
More statements from other individuals named in the investigation are expected as the inquiry progresses.
