No Technical Fault In Air India Crash: Report

A fresh twist has emerged in the investigation into the June 12, 2025 Air India crash in Ahmedabad, after an Italian media report claimed there was no technical malfunction in the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

The London-bound aircraft had crashed shortly after takeoff, leading to multiple fatalities and shocking the nation. Citing sources linked to aviation agency investigations, the report stated that no evidence of mechanical failure has been found so far.

Instead, the report alleges that the aircraft’s fuel switches were deliberately turned off by the pilots. The flight was commanded by Captain Sumit Sabharwal, with Captain Clive Kunder serving as co-pilot. If verified, the claims could significantly alter the course of the probe into one of the most tragic aviation incidents in recent years.

However, there has been no official confirmation from Indian aviation authorities, and the final investigation report is yet to be made public. The reported findings are likely to intensify scrutiny over cockpit procedures and pilot actions, raising fresh questions as the investigation continues.
