Nimrat Kaur Brings Quiet Power To Royal Drama ‘Kull’, Streaming May 2 On JioHotstar

New Delhi [India] : The grandeur of Bikaner’s royal corridors sets the stage for Kull, a new political drama exploring the complexities of power, loyalty, and betrayal, with Nimrat Kaur leading the charge as the enigmatic Rani Indrani Raisinggh. The series premieres on JioHotstar on May 2, 2025, and has already generated buzz for its rich visuals and gripping narrative.

Lead actor Nimrat Kaur delved into the challenges and emotional depth of her role. “Indrani is a character who hides a storm beneath her calm exterior,” she shared. “It’s the first time I’ve played someone so layered. Her strength isn’t loud, but it’s unshakable.”

The series, produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Sahil Raza, is centered on the power struggle within a royal dynasty after the murder of its patriarch. The central trio—Nimrat Kaur, Ridhi Dogra, and Amol Parashar—portrays a family wrestling with old loyalties and emerging ambitions.

Parashar plays Abhimanyu Raisinggh, a young prince caught in a dangerous power vacuum. Kaur’s Indrani, as the eldest sibling, must navigate the fine line between duty and emotional sacrifice, offering viewers a subtle yet potent portrayal of feminine authority in a patriarchal stronghold.

Filming inside the Bikaner Palace heightened the authenticity of the experience. “Walking the palace corridors in a chiffon saree and pearls was surreal,” said Nimrat. “The location breathed life into my character.”

The show also marks a reunion between Nimrat Kaur and Ekta Kapoor, following their acclaimed collaboration on The Test Case. “Ekta trusted me with one of the first female-led web series, and now again with Kull. That trust means everything,” Kaur said.

Kull promises a fresh take on the royal drama genre—one that blends emotional nuance with the timeless allure of political intrigue. With its cinematic visuals, intense performances, and emotionally layered script, Kull is poised to captivate audiences when it debuts next week.
