Washington [US]– Hulu has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Nine Perfect Strangers, with Nicole Kidman reprising her role as the enigmatic wellness guru Masha Dmitrichenko.
This season transports viewers to the serene yet unsettling backdrop of the Austrian Alps, where Masha leads a new group of strangers through a psychedelic therapy retreat designed to help them confront and heal from their deepest traumas.
The gripping trailer teases emotional and psychological turmoil ahead, as Masha urges her guests to face their pain head-on. “I invited you all here because sometimes you shouldn’t deal with pain gently,” she declares, setting the tone for the intense journey that follows.
As the retreat unfolds, unexpected revelations and challenges test the group’s resilience, while hints emerge that Masha herself is grappling with unresolved trauma. One guest chillingly tells her, “You came to me a broken woman… And you break everyone you try to heal.”
Season two features a stellar ensemble cast including Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, and King Princess. The series is executive produced by David E. Kelley, Nicole Kidman, and Bruna Papandrea, among others.
