In a significant development in the Delhi car blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Amir Rashid Ali, a Kashmiri man accused of conspiring with prime suspect Umar Un Nabi to execute the deadly attack near the Red Fort that claimed 10 lives.
Ali was taken into custody in Delhi, and according to investigators, the Hyundai i20 used in the attack was registered in his name. Authorities believe he had a crucial role in planning the explosion and working in coordination with Umar Un Nabi, who is suspected to have been driving the explosives-laden vehicle at the time of the blast.
The arrest marks a major breakthrough in the ongoing terror probe. NIA officials are now interrogating Ali to uncover the extent of the network involved and to trace additional links that may have contributed to the planning and execution of the attack.
The agency continues to conduct raids and gather evidence as part of its multi-layered investigation into the incident.
