Newlywed Man Brutally Murdered In Telangana: Wife And Her Lover Among Eight Arrested

Gadwal, Telangana: A horrifying case of contract killing and betrayal has surfaced in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Telangana, where 32-year-old Ganta Tejeshwar, a land surveyor and dance teacher, was brutally murdered allegedly at the behest of his newlywed wife Aishwarya (23) and her lover Tirumala Rao (35), police confirmed on Thursday.

Timeline of the Crime

Tejeshwar had been married for just a month before he went missing on June 17. CCTV footage later showed him leaving in a car with acquaintances. His body was discovered four days later, on June 21, near Panyam in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh.

How the Murder Was Planned

Despite being engaged to Tejeshwar in December 2024, Aishwarya maintained a secret relationship with Rao, a manager at a housing finance company in Kurnool. After her forced marriage on May 18, she and Rao allegedly hatched a murder plot so they could be together.

  • Rao hired contract killers through a commission agent named Kummari Nagesh.
  • A GPS tracker was secretly attached to Tejeshwar’s bike to monitor his location.
  • On June 17, Tejeshwar was lured to Kurnool under the pretext of a land survey.
  • On the return journey, between Erravalli and Gadwal, the killers bludgeoned his head, slit his throat, and stabbed him inside the car.
  • The body was later dumped near the HNSS canal, a secluded area in Kurnool.

“After the murder, Rao met the killers and guided them to a remote area for body disposal,” said SP T Srinivasa Rao.

The killers also disposed of Tejeshwar’s phone and belongings and changed their clothes to avoid suspicion. Rao reportedly paid them ₹1 lakh as advance and another ₹2 lakh later.

Disturbing Backstory

In a shocking twist, police revealed that Rao had previously dated Aishwarya’s mother, Sujata, a sweeper in his office. Over time, he grew close to her daughter Aishwarya and promised to marry her. However, family pressure led to Aishwarya’s marriage with Tejeshwar.

According to the police, Aishwarya and Rao planned to escape to Ladakh after the murder.

“She wanted to eliminate Tejeshwar to continue her relationship with Rao,” said the SP.

Current Status

All eight accused, including Aishwarya, Rao, Nagesh, and others involved in the conspiracy, are now in police custody. Investigations are ongoing to recover additional evidence and determine the full extent of the plan.
