New Delhi [India], June 25: New Zealand Cricket has unveiled a blockbuster 46-day international home season for 2025, set to feature five touring teams including Australia, England, West Indies, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
A major highlight is the three-match ICC World Test Championship series against the West Indies in December, with white-ball clashes against Australia and England kicking off the action-packed summer. The South African men’s team will conclude the home season with a five-match T20I series in March, just ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Star pacer Kyle Jamieson welcomed the challenging summer ahead, calling it a “marquee season” that will push the Black Caps to perform at their best.
“The calibre of opposition means we’ll be constantly tested… It’s always special to play in front of a home crowd,” said Jamieson.
On the women’s side, the White Ferns will prepare for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup by hosting Zimbabwe and South Africa in a 14-match home summer, which includes T20I double headers alongside the men’s team.
Batter Georgia Plimmer expressed excitement at playing more cricket at home:
“We want to play as much cricket as we can… and it’s exciting to have a 14-game home summer to prepare for.”
