New Vande Bharat Train To Connect Ferozepur With New Delhi, Punjab To Get Rajpura-Mohali Rail Link

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday that a new Vande Bharat Express will soon connect Ferozepur, a historic town along the India-Pakistan border, with New Delhi. It will go through important Punjab cities including Bathinda and Patiala.

The declaration was made during a presentation with Ravneet Singh Bittu, the Union Minister of State who represents Punjab. The government has suggested a new train line between Rajpura and SAS Nagar (Mohali) to go along with the Vande Bharat train. This link is meant to make it easy for people in many regions of Punjab to get to the Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula tricity.

More information and what to do next:

We don’t know when the Ferozepur-Delhi Vande Bharat will start running yet. The plan has been approved in principle and will now be sent to the cabinet for final approval.

The railroads will need 54 hectares of land for the Rajpura-Mohali link. The Punjab government will buy this property and give it to the railways for building.

This project is planned to increase connections, make travel easier for commuters, and strengthen the economy of the region as a whole.
