Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 6: Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala recently exchanged vows in an intimate Telugu wedding at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, surrounded by close family and friends.
Naga Chaitanya’s father, veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, took to X to share heartwarming images of the newlyweds from their ceremony. In his post, he expressed gratitude, writing, “My heart is overflowing with gratitude. To the media, thank you for your understanding and for giving us the space to cherish this beautiful moment. Your thoughtful respect and kind wishes have added to our joy.”
He continued, “To our dear friends, family, and fans, your love and blessings have truly made this occasion unforgettable. My son’s wedding was not just a family celebration—it became a cherished memory because of the warmth and support you all shared with us. From the bottom of our hearts, the Akkineni family thanks you all for the countless blessings you have showered upon us. #SoChay #SobhitaDhulipala @chay_akkineni.”
The wedding took place during the auspicious muhuratam at 8:13 pm and was a beautiful showcase of Telugu traditions, with rituals conducted under the guidance of elders. The celebration was made even more special by the presence of loved ones and several celebrities.
Nagarjuna also shared official photos from the ceremony, writing, “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this beautiful chapter together has been a special and emotional moment for me. Congratulations to my beloved Chay, and welcome to the family dear Sobhita—you’ve already brought so much happiness into our lives.”
For the occasion, Sobhita wore a stunning gold Kanjivaram silk saree adorned with real gold zari, paired with temple jewelry, honoring her cultural heritage. Naga Chaitanya looked dashing in a traditional white outfit.
The couple had earlier made their relationship official in August by sharing engagement photos. They posted a heartfelt message quoting a passage from A.K. Ramanujan’s Kurunthogai: “What could my mother be to yours? What kin is my father to yours anyway? And how did you and I meet ever? But in love, our hearts are as red earth and pouring rain: mingled beyond parting.”
Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They announced their separation in a joint statement in October 2021.
