Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 4: Movie lovers are in for a treat as Netflix unveils its exciting 2025 content lineup, and one of the most anticipated titles is Neeraj Pandey’s gritty cop drama titled Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. The teaser for the series was released last night, sparking excitement among fans across languages and regions.
What makes Khakee: The Bengal Chapter stand out is the first-time collaboration between two Bengali superstars, Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee. Jeet takes on the role of an IPS officer, while Prosenjit plays a politician—adding layers to the political and law enforcement dynamics of the story.
Set against the backdrop of Kolkata in the 2000s, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter follows a thrilling tale of crime, corruption, and law enforcement. The series delves into the fight of a determined IPS officer against powerful criminals and politicians, as he strives to restore peace and justice. Parambrata Chatterjee also plays a crucial role as a police officer in the series.
The series is directed by Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray, with Neeraj Pandey serving as the showrunner. Pandey has co-written the script alongside Mandal and Samrat Chakraborty.
Apart from Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee, the cast also includes Saswata Chatterjee, Chitrangda Singh, Ritwik Bhowmik, Aadil Khan, Pooja Chopra, Aakanksha Singh, Mimoh Chakraborty, and Shraddha Das, among others.
Although Jeet produced the film Aay Khuku Aay (2022), which starred Prosenjit, this is the first time the two actors are sharing screen space. Prosenjit was recently seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Amazon Prime series Jubilee.
Khakee: The Bengal Chapter promises to be another gripping chapter in the Khakee series, following the success of Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, which revolved around the battle between an IPS officer and a notorious gang leader. The Bihar chapter starred Brijeshwar Singh, Avinash Tiwary, Abhimanyu Singh, and Karan Tacker, along with Aishwarya Sushmita, Jatin Sarna, Ravi Kishan, Ashutosh Rana, Nikita Dutta, Anup Soni, and Shraddha Das. That series was released on November 25, 2022.
Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is set to bring an equally captivating story to the small screen, set against the backdrop of Kolkata’s complex political and criminal landscape. Fans of intense, action-packed dramas are in for a treat.
