Mumbai, India: Netflix has released the official teaser for their highly anticipated spy drama series, Saare Jahan Se Accha, which stars Pratik Gandhi. The streaming service will show the series, which promises a compelling story of espionage and silent conflicts, on August 13.
In the video, Pratik Gandhi plays Vishnu Shankar, a RAW agent whose dangerous job is to sneak into Pakistan and stop its nuclear development. The fast-paced footage shows a frantic game of cat and mouse between Vishnu and his enemy, Murtaza Mallik (played by Sunny Hinduja), who works for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The official synopsis indicates that the series is set in the “volatile 1970s, when a single move could tip the balance of power and trigger a global nuclear war.”
Gaurav Shukla made the series to honor the “unsung heroes” of India’s spy community. Pratik Gandhi talked about his character and how deep it was emotionally. He said, “What drew me in was the intensity beneath the stillness and the emotional toll of being invisible, yet fighting for India.”
With significant roles for Tillotama Shome, Kritika Kamra, Rajat Kapoor, and Anup Soni, the cast of the show is excellent. The teaser foreshadows an engrossing and thrilling story in which every action is planned and the fate of entire nations is at stake.
Fans are eager for the series to begin, which is also just before India’s Independence Day, and the teaser has received a lot of attention online.
