Washington DC: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized to his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, over Israel’s attack in Doha, during a telephone call from the White House on Monday, sources told Reuters.
The call occurred while Netanyahu was meeting US President Donald Trump in Washington. According to sources, a Qatari technical team is also present at the White House amid ongoing talks between the two nations.
The apology marks a rare public acknowledgment of the incident by Israel and highlights ongoing diplomatic efforts to manage tensions with Qatar.
