NEET UG 2025 Results Declared: 73 Students Score Above 650 Marks, Mahesh Kumar Tops With AIR 1

New Delhi, June 14, 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) today announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025, with over 12.36 lakh candidates qualifying the medical entrance examination. Among the top performers, 73 students scored above 650 out of 720 marks, with the highest score recorded at 686 marks.

The total number of registered candidates for NEET UG 2025 was 22,76,069, of which 22,09,318 appeared for the examination. Out of these, 12,36,531 students qualified, securing eligibility for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses across India.


Top Performers

  • Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with a 99.99 percentile.
  • He was closely followed by Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh and Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra.

The NEET UG exam is a critical gateway for students aspiring to pursue MBBS, BDS, and other allied medical programs in India. With intense competition and over 22 lakh test-takers this year, the cutoffs for top government medical colleges are expected to remain high.


Next Steps for Candidates

Qualified students can now begin preparing for the counselling process, which will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and respective state authorities. The official NEET counselling schedule will be released shortly on https://mcc.nic.in.
