New Delhi (India), March 5: In a heartfelt message to her fans, celebrated actor Nayanthara has asked her followers to refrain from calling her ‘Lady Superstar’ and instead address her by her real name. While expressing gratitude for the immense love and affection she has received over the years, she explained that titles can create a sense of separation between her and the work she does.
Nayanthara shared her feelings on her official X handle, writing, “My life has been an open book that has always found its adornment with your unconditional love and affection. Be it the pat on my shoulder during my success or extending your hand to lift me during hardships, you have always been there for me.”
Acknowledging that the title ‘Lady Superstar’ originated from her fans’ admiration, the actor expressed her preference to be called by her name instead. “I feel that the name is what I hold closest to my heart. It represents who I am—not just as an actor but as an individual,” she explained.
She emphasized that titles and accolades can sometimes build an image that creates distance between her and her audience, hindering the direct connection they share. Nayanthara concluded her note by reiterating her love for cinema, which unites her with her fans.
