Mumbai, Maharashtra, February 8: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is gearing up for his next film titled I’m Not An Actor, which has already captured the attention of audiences with its intriguing trailer. Released on Saturday, the trailer features two actors engaging in an intense audition via video chat, with Siddiqui delivering a captivating performance that promises to keep viewers hooked.

The film is described as an “ode to the art and craft of acting” and delves deep into the life of an actor. It explores themes such as the frustrations, vulnerabilities, and complexities of an actor’s journey, showcasing the struggle of living in the moment, improvising with life, and dealing with inner harshness and anger. Despite the hardships, it highlights the actor’s capacity for love and using art as a form of catharsis.
Directed by Aditya Kripalani, I’m Not An Actor (also known by its Hindi-English title Main Actor Nahin Hoon) features actor Chitrangada Satarupa alongside Siddiqui. Produced by Mumba Devi Motion Pictures, the film is set to make its world premiere at the prestigious 2025 Cinequest Film Festival in California this March.
The Hindi-English drama tells the story of a strict Mumbai actor who mentors a retired, depressed banker from Frankfurt through video calls.
Siddiqui was last seen in Rautu Ka Raaz alongside Narayani Shastri, Rajesh Kumar, and Atul Tiwari.
