A 21-year-old specially abled woman died by suicide in Maharashtra’s Nashik, leaving behind a deeply emotional message for her parents written on her palm. The incident has shocked the local community and drawn attention to the silent struggles faced by people with disabilities.
According to police, Diksha Tribhuvan, a resident of Dhruv Nagar, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home on Sunday evening. Family members immediately rushed her to a government hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The heartbreaking message — “Sorry… I Love You Mom and Dad” — was discovered during the post-mortem examination, officials said.
Family Says She Was Quiet, Kind, and Full of Hope
Diksha, who was specially abled since birth and had difficulty speaking, was described by her family as a quiet yet friendly young woman. She was pursuing her education at an institution for people with special needs and was considered a source of hope for the family.
“She was our hope for the future,” a family member said, struggling to come to terms with the loss.
Police Investigation Ongoing
Senior Police Inspector Madhukar Kad of Gangapur Police Station confirmed the details of the case and said further investigation is underway.
“Diksha Tribhuvan died by suicide around 6.30 pm on Sunday. She was specially abled and had difficulty speaking. We are investigating the matter. So far, we know that she had left a message for her parents on her hand,” he said.
Police are examining all possible factors that may have led to the tragic incident.
