Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], January 27: As the Congress party prepares for its ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ rally in Mhow, the birthplace of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole emphasized the event’s importance in raising voices to protect the Constitution.
“Today in Mhow, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, our leaders have come together for this program to safeguard the Constitution. We have gathered here to raise awareness. The recent Maharashtra Assembly elections revealed serious irregularities committed by the Election Commission, clearly showing how it is working against democracy,” Patole said.
He accused the BJP of trying to dismantle India’s constitutional system, further claiming that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab functions as the BJP’s ‘B team.’ Patole pointed to the incident of a broken Ambedkar statue as evidence of this alleged alliance. He claimed that both BJP and its allies are trying to erase Ambedkar’s ideology from India.
“The BJP at the Center began efforts to destroy the constitutional system of our country. The AAP government in Punjab is acting as BJP’s ‘B party.’ The destruction of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statue there shows their true intentions. The BJP and its allies are working to eliminate Ambedkar’s ideology,” Patole stated.
Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir also took aim at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing him of disrespecting Babasaheb Ambedkar. He said, “If Amit Shah has so much disdain for Babasaheb, he does not deserve to hold the position of Home Minister. Babasaheb gave us the Constitution, and it is because of that Constitution that Shah holds this post. Congress feels an inherited responsibility to fight for the Constitution and its ideals.”
The Congress rally at Mhow will feature prominent leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who will address the public on this occasion.
