Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, who plays the primary bad guy Simon in the Rajinikanth movie Coolie, has talked about the movie’s record-breaking box office run and his time working with the veteran actor.
Rajinikanth has been the main reason for the film’s success, but the inclusion of actors like Nagarjuna and Upendra has made Coolie much more popular across India. Fans have been especially surprised by Nagarjuna’s portrayal of a scary bad guy.
A Box Office Record-Breaking Performance
Nagarjuna talked on the movie’s huge debut, which made over ₹250 crore in just two days. He said, “The love that Coolie has gotten from all over the world has been nothing short of historic.” The movie had the best opening ever for a Tamil movie, and its Telugu version has been especially popular.
The Telugu version of Coolie, which starred Nagarjuna, beat its rival, War 2, in various areas, including North America. Coolie’s Telugu version made $1.3 million in North America on its first day, while War 2 made $610,000 in the same area.

Nagarjuna said that working with Rajinikanth was “unforgettable” and that their on-screen connection was “unforgettable.” He said that working together was like “magnetic magic when two journeys like ours meet on screen.”

This is Nagarjuna’s second triumph in a row with bilingual productions, after his work on Kuberaa. The actor’s next movie will be the 4K and Dolby Atmos re-release of his famous Telugu classic, Siva.
In addition to Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna, Coolie also stars Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir. Aamir Khan has a little part in the movie.
